Dennis Dei Baning
Dennis brings a wealth of experience and achievement to the baseball facility operations role at Smash Sports. As the 2021 OCAA Player of the Year and a two-time OCAA League All-Star, Dennis has consistently demonstrated his skills and dedication both on and off the field with his academic commitment that is evident through his selection as the 2022 OCAA All-Academic recipient.
With championships at both the provincial and national levels with Humber College, including an MVP award, Dennis has honed leadership and teamwork abilities. Dennis has a degree in Recreation and Leisure Services.
His professional experience extends to playing in various leagues such as IBL with teams like Welland Jackfish and Hamilton Cardinals, as well as the WCBL with Fort McMurray Giants. Beyond playing, he has also contributed as an RBI Program Leader with Jays Care Foundation and as a coach at True North Sports Camp, where he’s shared passion and knowledge to help develop young athletes.

Esteban Rodriguez
Esteban brings a wealth of baseball experience, including competing in six Nationals in Colombia with the Bogota team. He played in top-prospects baseball leagues in Barranquilla City (National Silver Medal) and Cartagena City (Gold Medal), participated in MLB tryouts, and earned two Gold Medals in Bogota Senior Baseball. He also had the privilege of playing alongside MLB players such as Harold Ramirez and being coached by Mike Shildt during an MLB summer camp Copa Cafe Sello Rojo.
He pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education at Universidad Minuto de Dios and began his coaching career in 2014, gaining extensive experience across youth levels (U10, U12, and U15) in both elite and recreational programs. He holds a certification in Baseball Fundamentals from the Coaching Development Program (CDP) 2015 of MLB Latin America and served as the Vice-president of the Bogota Baseball League from 2018-22.
Esteban relocated to Canada to study at Humber College, where he made the baseball team for the Humber Hawks in 2022-2023 and received the All-Academic award from OCAA. He has achieved Dean's Honors for four consecutive terms in his third year of the Sport Management program at Humber College.
